Motorhome Makeover Sources

This was Troop’s first motorhome AND oldest remodel (except for the Shasta!). Both of these created some unique challenges throughout the build. Motorhomes and travel trailers are built differently and we had a bit of a learning curve regarding the frame of the vehicle. We had to deal with steel beams that seemed to be very randomly placed (which made the lapboard ceiling a DOOZY!) and lots of rot and water damage from a missing slide out seal. We projected 4-6 weeks and this remodel ended up taking much longer than that! Regardless of any challenges and delays, we were SO pleased with the finished product and thoroughly enjoyed working with our clients. (*we are no longer taking clients, so sorry!).

Let’s get going with all the sources you’ve been asking about! (Some of these are affiliate links which means we may earn a small commission from them!)

Overall Materials + Sources:

White Paint Color - Shoji White by Sherwin Williams (flat on ceiling, satin on walls, semi-gloss on cabinets and trim)

Paint Color of Sliding Doors - Accessible Beige by Sherwin Williams

Flooring - Senate Plus Vinyl in color Adobe (from Rite Rug)

Round Ceiling Lights - linked here.

Cabinet Pulls - linked here. We decided to go with a warm chestnut finish on the cabinet hardware to keep the look a little softer. Mixing finishes is such a great way to give a space a more custom and thought out look (as long as its done well!).

Cabinet Knobs - linked here.

Lapboard Ceiling - We used this from Lowe’s. It turned out so beautifully, but I would be amiss to tell you the process is easy. Each rig will be different, but in a motorhome, I would only do this if you really know what you’re doing. In this particular rig, the ceiling is made of foam and steel beams. There was not enough room on the ceiling (because of things like refrigerator doors) to install furring strips to attach these boards to AND the steel frame is all over the place. It was a job finding studs to be able to attach each plank. Do your due diligence before beginning this project!

Window Treatments - From Select Blinds. Linked here. This is not an affiliate link…we just have had great experiences with this company! We used the color “natural linen”. You can order free samples to make sure whatever color you are thinking is right for your space!

Living Room

The new sofas really made a huge impact in this space!

Leather Futon Sofa - linked here. I’ve found this sofa on Target and Amazon, but the link here will take you to the best price I’ve found!

Dark Gray Sofa - linked here. Absolutely love the single cushion look. Very comfortable sofa!

*Seatbelts - The sofa were installed into the original locations of the previous sofas…we were able to cut holes in the sofa to feed the seatbelts (that are bolted to the frame) through. There are 4 seatbelts in addition to the captains chairs in the front.

Ottoman - linked here. I love throwing ottomans in small spaces because they have so many uses. You can use them in the traditional sense - to prop up your feet, OR as additional seating in the living room or dining area!

Rug - linked here. I love these rugs because they hold up well, but are also affordable so once it gets totally worn out, you can afford to buy another one. (I don’t condone this behavior lol…I am not a “throw away” person…I could have this rug for years…but if your family is prone to staining…you can still buy this rug!).

Television - you guys know I love a frame TV!!! They make so much sense in a small space like an RV where every little design detail matters. Instead of a big black hole, you’ll have a pretty piece of artwork! Linked here.

Kitchen/Dining Room

Dining Table - I’ve had SO many questions about this one! Unfortunately, the table ran out of stock almost immediately after I purchased it and haven’t seen in back in stock since. You can still sign up for stock notifications, so you can always try that! Linked here.

Stool at Dining Table - We were short on space on one side of this table and wanted to make whatever we used here practical elsewhere, so we went with this stool! When not being sat on at the table, it can be used as an ottoman for the sofas! Linked here.

Chair at Dining Table - this chair was from World Market, but they no longer have it on their website.

Pendant Light - This exact pendant was from World Market, but I no longer see it on their site. This is similar.

Faucet - our tried and true! I keep wanting to use something different for sake of variety, but this just always works!! Linked here.

Frames and Artwork - All of the frames are from Target. They have become such a great resource for frames! They are linked here. The prints are all from Etsy.

Bathroom

We wanted to make this space feel as much like you WEREN’T in an RV as possible. I think we succeeded! It feels so luxurious in there! The vanity was designed by me (Madison) and custom made by our friend at South Nashville Woodworks (call him if you’re in the area!). The countertop is quartz. The wooden walls are flooring we installed vertically.

The shower tile is Bedrosians.

We use thinset and grout from Flextile.

We used the original shower surround, but had it powder coated and installed new clear tempered glass.

Sink Faucet linked here. Sink linked here.

Shower plumbing linked here…we did not use the rain shower head…instead we capped that valve and used it as a way to turn the water stream off and on.

bedroom

This bedroom is the absolute coziest!! We chose to do blackout shades back here and you can shut the door, close the shades and take the best nap even in the middle of the day!

Headboard is linked here. It only comes with the leather portion. We used a curtain rod to hang it on the wall.

Sconces linked here.

Bedding linked here. SO soft and affordable!! Its a comforter that has the appearance of a duvet.

Lumbar pillow is from The Citizenry, but they no longer appear to have it. .
