Natural Bohemian Nursery Design

So most of you know, I typically stick to doing RV makeovers…

On the very rare occasion, I will help friends and family with their homes and I just had to share this one with you guys! Some friends of ours (who happen to live within walking distance of our house) reached out and asked if I would help them with their baby girl’s nursery AND pretty much gave me total creative freedom with it. They had a general idea of what they wanted and then I ran with it!

We knew we wanted to do some sort of wallpaper that would be unisex just in case they were to have a boy a few years from now. This particular one is peel and stick and from Etsy. It can be customized into any color. I always recommend ordering samples of wall covering to make sure you like it in person before ordering a large batch!

This crib has all the things we were looking for…its convertible, stylish AND can work for a boy or a girl. similar here.

The mirror turned out to be the biggest statement piece of them all (not that I ever doubted it!). It was the first piece I knew I wanted to use. AND its surprisingly affordable for the impact it makes. It’s hung high enough that once the crib is dropped and the baby starts pulling up, that she won’t be able to reach it and pull it down on her. Linked here.

My clients already owned the lamp! Score!

A stylish comfy rocker was a must for them. I would totally have this chair in my living room! And if you ever wondered if the wooden legs would make for a comfortable rock, THEY DO! similar linked here. and here.

My client found the floor pouf but there are a lot of similar ones available on Etsy!

The chandelier can be found here.

The rug was such a statement piece…it really brought the room together and grounded it when we laid it out. Super affordable and plush enough to spend time in the floor with your little one! linked here.

Our friends house is a charming 2 bedroom house in East Nashville…which means they wanted the nursery to double as somewhere friends and family could spend the night. This beautiful daybed did the trick! Couch by day, bed by night! And because its twin size…when baby girl is ready to upgrade to her big girl bed…they won’t have to get a new bed! Win, Win!

The frames are from Ikea (along with the curtain panels) and the animal prints are from here.

I really loved this dresser, but it has been discontinued! Such a shame. It had beautiful lines and was the perfect barely off white color!

There she is! I can’t wait to see this adorable room filled with sugar and spice and everything nice and all the other things little girls are made of!
